Welcome to Ravenhurst

It is important that your child is happy at school, our aim is for all children to reach their potential. We hope that you will be involved in all stages of your child’s education and that you will share in his/her achievements. We welcome your close and active interest in your child’s progress at Ravenhurst, we aim to work in partnership with you as parents.

This website aims to give you further, more detailed information about the organisation of our school. Should you not find an answer to any question or query you may have please contact the school via the contacts page.

Easter Reading Homework: Extreme Reading Challenge

We are encouraging pupils to take a greater interest in reading at Ravenhurst therefore, we are inviting all pupils and parents to take part in the Ravenhurst Extreme Reading Challenge.

The idea of the challenge is to think about different but exciting places to read and enjoy a book. Whether it is up a tree, on top of a mountain or even underwater, try and be as creative (but safe) as possible. Pupils could link the title or theme of the book to the place that they are reading eg Alice in Wonderland by a rabbit hole!

Please then take a photo and either bring the photo into school on Monday 29th April or you can email the photo to: extremereadingchallenge@ravenhurst.leics.sch.uk

The photo will need to have your child’s name and class on the back or be clearly indicated on the email.

An exciting display will be created of the pupils’ photos. Happy reading and we look forward to seeing all of the interesting places that pupils find to read a book.
