Communication with parents

Informal Opportunities
Your child’s Class Teacher is usually available to help you with any small immediate problem either at 8.30am or at 3.00pm. Please go to the school office if you wish to see a member of staff. If you have any special concerns, the Headteacher, or Deputy Headteacher are available to talk to you. Please do not hesitate to contact school to arrange a talk at length with either the Head, or your child’s Class Teacher.

We welcome help in our school. Support in the classroom is very valuable. To support in the classroom, the school needs to undertake a CRB check on all volunteers.

Formal Opportunities
There are many opportunities over the year to share information with you about your child’s progress. At the start of the school year you will receive information about the topics and areas of learning your child will cover over the year. Parents evenings are held in September and February and give you the opportunity to look through your child’s work and discuss their progress with the class teacher. An annual report is issued for each child in July and there is an opportunity to discuss the report with your child’s teacher.

Letters from School
Letters from school are emailed to parents. A termly newsletter is sent out to parents which includes contributions from the staff and pupils.
