School Council

The School Council aims to encourage pupils, teachers and all other members of staff to work together for the benefit of the whole school community by allowing every member of the school community to have their say in the development of the school.

By enabling pupils the opportunity to make a difference to the School Community the students can have a voice into decision making arenas and so experience democracy in action. Through the work of the school council pupils are encouraged to be active citizens in our school community.

The school council has one member of each class and they have asked their class about areas of development that they would like to see happen at our school.  Each school council members take responsibility for each suggested change and work to see if a conclusion to the suggestion can be reached.

An example of this is that one of the year 5 pupils has spoken to the school link to Chartwells and has been able to get milk shakes back on the menu!
